YOOC Ethylene Plant Reverse Engineering Project

This is a large-scale reverse engineering project that involved 3D scanning 11 units of a chemical plant and building As-Built 3D models for piping, machinery, architecture, structures, and electrical facilities.

Based on the 3D scan data acquired on-site, major plant components including piping, machinery, architecture, structures, and electrical facilities were built into 3D models. The reverse engineering deliverables underwent QA verification using Laser Model 2 Plant Design System independently developed by JANGSUNG HDS, and missing modeling areas and out-of-tolerance parts were repeatedly checked and corrected to enhance the accuracy and completeness of the As-Built model.

We applied our proprietary piping modeling technology to the project to efficiently process the vast data of large-scale plants and shorten delivery schedules. Through this, we efficiently built As-Built 3D models of large-scale plants based on 3D scan data and provided digital data that can be utilized for design review and subsequent engineering.
